Welcome

Food is our sustenance - physically, culturally and emotionally. In keeping with this view, I don't have a “good food/bad food” approach to eating.

Instead, “all foods can fit into a healthy diet” is my view. I'm a firm believer in “calories in compared to calories out” when it comes to weight loss and weight control. This means be aware of what and how much we eat along with selecting foods that promote optimal health. And of course, leading a physically active lifestyle plays an integral role in maintaining a healthy weight and healthy body for a lifetime.

As I always tell my students - “This is the only body you have. Treat it right.”
